James H. Mac Kenzie, Jr.

James H. MacKenzie, Jr., 88, of Punta Gorda, FL passed away March 10, 2014. He was the son of James H. MacKenzie, Sr. and Lavinia (Morris) MacKenzie, born January 5, 1926 in Framingham, MA. James served in the US Marine Corps during WWII. He spent his career at General Motors, retiring as a supervisor. He was an avid golfer, and enjoyed bowling. James was a member of the Shriner's Club of Burlington, MA, Framingham Country Club, and Cummaquid Country Club. He moved to this area in 2011 from Cape Cod, MA. James will be greatly missed by his wife of 67 years, Emily; daughter, Jane (Ron) Spinney of Punta Gorda; grandchildren, Jill (Derek) Lincoln and Jason (Jamie) Spinney; and great-grandchildren, Jacob and Heidi. A memorial service will be held at 3pm, Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Service, Punta Gorda, FL.
