James H. Leck

James H. Leck was the son of George and Marguerite Leck, born November 24, 1953 in Chicago, IL. Jim was an outdoor rehabilitation counselor for the Division of Youth Services in Missouri. A spelunker, he was a member of the Lake Ozark Grotto and was active in cave and water rescue. He volunteered with the American Red Cross, taught CPR, and enjoyed playing golf. Jim came to Punta Gorda in 2010 and was an active member of Tri-City Baptist Church, where he also served as a Sunday School teacher. Jim went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at the age of 62 in Punta Gorda, FL. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 30 years, Cindy Leck; daughters, Melissa (Rick) Warden of Greenwood, MO, and Jessica Leck of Punta Gorda; brothers, Frank (Dorothy) Rumisek of Steger, IL, Chuck (Sue) Rumisek of Thomasville, IL, Mike (Liz) Rumisek of North Port, FL and Steve (Julie) Leck of Lebanon, MO; and sister, Ruby (Hank) Skaggs of Reno, NV. The family will receive friends 10:00-11:00am Monday, March 21, 2016 at Tri-City Baptist Church with the service in celebration of Jim's life beginning at 11:00am.
