James D. Rash

James D. Rash, 87, of Port Charlotte, formerly of Prince George Co, MD passed away January 3, 2015. He was the son of John and Myrtle Rash, born January 19, 1927 in Atlanta, GA. James served in the U.S. Navy for 7 years and was a retired Police Sergeant with Prince Georges Co, MD. He was a member of the FOP, VFW and Church of Jesus Christ of LDS. James will be greatly missed by his wife of 69 years, Irene; daughter, Sharon (Jerry) Nicholas; sons, Robert (Sheila) Rash and Larry Rash; 1 brother; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sons, James Rash and Allan Rash; 4 brothers and 2 sisters. A funeral service will be held at Noon on Monday, January 12, 2015 at Larry Taylor Funeral with the burial to follow at Sarasota National Cemetery.
