James C. Potts

James C. "Jim" Potts, 56, of Punta Gorda, FL went to Heaven Saturday, January 31, 2015 from his home courageously battling cancer. Jim was born March 6, 1958 in Lexington, KY. He was a proud United States Marine and served during the Vietnam Era. Jim was a Journeyman Electrician Supervisor for the IBEW Local 349. He enjoyed serving the Lord doing prison ministry with Kairos and working with the youth at First Alliance Church. Jim enjoyed going fishing and vacation in the mountains with his family. Jim will be greatly missed by his wife and best friend, Jo-Lin Potts; daughters, Elisha and Jamie Potts; son, Jimmy Potts; sisters, Linda Norris and Edie McCool; his cherished grandchildren; nieces and nephews. A memorial celebration of Jim's life will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, February 8, 2015 at First Alliance Church, 20444 Midway Blvd, Port Charlotte, FL 33952.
