Howard A. Lawler

Howard A. Lawler, 97, of Port Charlotte formerly of Newburyport, MA passed away March 24, 2007. He was born July 25, 1909 in Salisbury, MA to Otis and Eva (Houghton) Lawler. He was a retired from Ports Smith Navy Yard and Service Dry Cleaners. Howard wintered in local area for 15 years before living here full time 3 years ago from Ossipee, NH. He was a Master Sea Scout Leader, a life member of Northend Boat Club and Ossipee Historical Society. He was a member of Bellville Congregational Church. Howard will be missed by his wife of 32 years, Marjorie; daughter Judith Cameron of Perry, ME; step-daughter Nancy (Rodney) Lewis of Newburyport, MA; step-son Richard Elwell of Frisco, TX; sister Christina Lawler of Epping, NH; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren and fifteen step-great grandchildren. A service will be held later in MA. Memorial donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice and Palliative Care, 1144 Veronica Boulevard, Port Charlotte, FL 33952.
