Helen M. Weiner

Helen M. Weiner, 94, of Punta Gorda passed away Sunday, August 19, 2012. She was born October 22, 1917 in Brooklyn, NY to James and Anna (Fallon) Dunne. Helen moved from West Islip, NY to Punta Gorda in 1972. She was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Helen will be greatly missed by her daughter, Patti Sciarratta of Punta Gorda; son, Steven (Betty) Weiner of Goleta, CA; 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Steven and daughter, Jane Nagy. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, August 21 , 2012 with Wake Service at 7:30 pm at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services. A funeral mass will be at 11:00 am, Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Santa Barbara, CA.
