Helen (Gresley) Webber, 90, formerly of Lake of the Woods, LaGrange, Indiana, passed away December 21, 2008 in Port Charlotte, Florida. She was born October 18, 1918 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Nathan and Gertrude (Laisure) Gresley. Helen married Gordon Webber in 1938. They had many businesses together including Gordon Music Co. in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where she taught accordion and trumpet; in addition to owning several restaurants in Indiana, Helen and Gordon were one of the original owners of Three Kings Tavern in Hoagland, Indiana, and opened the first Drive-In Restaurant in Decatur, Indiana called the Chat & Chew. Helen retired from Dana Corp. and continued to enjoy playing her organ throughout her later years. Helen will be greatly missed by son, Stanley of Port Charlotte, Florida; daughter, Judy Spindler of Sarasota, Florida; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon who died in 1984. A service will be held in Indiana at a later date. To express condolences to the family, please sign the online guest book.
