Gladys C. Naylor, 99, of Punta Gorda, FL went home to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014. She was born June 25, 1914 in Scranton, PA to John and Iva (nee Tuttle) Markwick. Gladys graduated from Scranton High School class of 1933 and married Arthur H. Naylor in Scranton on June 6, 1936. She was a member of Central Baptist Church, Trenton, NJ for about 50 years and First Baptist Church of Port Charlotte, FL. since 1997 and enjoyed Sunday services and her lady's Sunday school class for as long as she was able to attend. Gladys moved from Trenton, NJ to Punta Gorda with her daughter, Carol and son-in-law Ben in 1996. She will be remembered as a faithful prayer warrior for her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by her daughter, Carol (Ben) Richner of Punta Gorda; granddaughters, Kimberly (Mark Molodec) Richner-Molodec and Cynthia (Kevin) Souers all of Dutchess County, NY ; great-grandchildren, Kristin (Jonathan) Mazza of Dutchess County, NY, Kyle (Ashley) Peterson of Jacksonville, FL, Shawn Montefusco and Tina Montefusco of Dutchess County, NY; great-great-grandchildren, Avery Elise Mazza and Matthew Dominic Mazza both of Dutchess County, NY. She will join in eternal heaven her husband of 59 years, Arthur; parents; great-grandson, Eric Scott Peterson and brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Hazel Markwick.
