George M. Collier

George Melville Collier, 92, of Punta Gorda passed away September 20, 2009. He was the son of George and Emma (Graff) Collier, born August 1, 1917 in Cincinnati, Ohio. George served in the US Army during WWII and moved to Florida in 1987 to enjoy his retirement. He was a member of the American Legion. George will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 71 years, Ruby; children, Judy (Joe) Creech Zeek of Cincinnati, OH and George Rodney (Pat) Collier of Punta Gorda.; son in law, Jim Vandengraft; 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 2 soon to be great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lela Vandengraft. A private service will be held.
