George B. Jones

George B. Jones, 80, of Port Charlotte passed away July 10, 2008. He was the son of Morrison and Sarah (Raines) Jones, born July 28, 1927 in Verne, KY. George served in the US Navy during WWII, and was a machinist until he retired. He came to Port Charlotte in 1988 from Baltimore, MD and enjoyed playing golf, hunting, fishing, and gardening. George will be greatly missed by his wife of 61 years, Eleanor; daughters, Judith Ann Jones of Florida, Wendy (Michael) Corrao and Jo Ellen (James) Trader, both of Baltimore; son, George Robert (Kerry) Jones of Lake Tahoe, CA; sister, Catherine Hamilton of Woodstock, MD; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
