Frederick Richards

Frederick Richards, 70, of Port Charlotte passed away January 16, 2009. He was born December 23, 1938 in Philadelphia, PA to John and Ann (Stahl) Richards. Frederick served in the US Army; then became a railroad investigator before he retired. He moved from Philadelphia to Port Charlotte in 2000. Frederick was active in his community and was a member of American Legion, Eagles, Moose and VFW. He enjoyed playing golf, listening to old music, watching old movies and loved history. Frederick was a big sports fan and rooted for the Phillies, Eagles and Yankees. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 1 year, Barbara; daughter, Linda Richards of Lansdale, PA; step-daughter, Jennifer Salter of Port Charlotte, FL; son, Matthew Richards of Lansdale, PA brothers, Joe McDonald of W. Palm Beach, FL and John Richards of Lansdale, PA; 2 granddaughters and 2 step-grandsons. No service is planned at this time. Memorial donations may be made to Leukemia Society, 13907 N.
