Franklin J. Varney

Franklin J. Varney, 76, of Port Charlotte passed away May 14, 2008. He was the son of Forrest and Hazel (Jones) Varney, born January 12, 1932 in Alton, NH. Franklin served in the US Army; he was the Fire Department Captain for Wolfeboro, NH. He came to this area 30 years ago after retiring from the fire department and worked in security for Rolls Landing. Franklin will be greatly missed by his wife of 54 years, Ellen; daughter, Sandra (Rusty) Phyles of Port Charlotte; sons Peter (Lisa) Varney of Port Charlotte, Franklin (Anna) Varney of Parsons , TN, and William (Kathy) Varney of Port Charlotte; and grandchildren, Peter, Jr., Leah, William, Jr., and Zachary all of Port Charlotte.
