Franciscus Nicolaas Molhoek

Franciscus "Nick" Molhoek, 60, of Punta Gorda and Cleveland, Ohio passed away January 21, 2009. He was born April 10, 1948 in Holland to Cornelis and Maria (Corino) Molhoek. Nick proudly served as a paratrooper in the US Army during the Vietnam War and was awarded an Army Commendation Medal and a Bronze Star Medal. He retired from UPS and will be remembered as being faithful to his family, country and his many friends. He will be greatly missed by his brother, Joseph (Ellen) Molhoek of Butler, PA; nephews, Douglas Molhoek of Indiana, PA and Braden Molhoek of Butler, PA; girlfriend, Amy Moore of Cape Coral. Nick was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Theadora Masur . A gathering in celebration of Nick's life will be 7:00 to 9:00 pm, Saturday, January 24, 2009 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations to Tidewell Hospice and Palliative Care, 1144 Veronica Street, Port Charlotte, FL 33952.
