Faye M. Austin

Faye M. Austin, 87, a lifelong resident of Punta Gorda passed away April 23, 2014. She was the daughter of Percy and Elsie (Mauck) Whitehurst, born May 30, 1926. Faye was the first nurse at the newly formed community hospital in Punta Gorda, and faithfully worked there for 40 years. She loved spending time with her family, and living in Punta Gorda. Faye also enjoyed reading. Faye will be greatly missed by her daughter, Huellen Randolph; son-in-law, Morgan Randolph; granddaughter, Kristi Randolph; nieces, Robin Raulerson and Dannette Haas and family; and nephew, Stacy Raulerson and family. The service in celebration of Faye's life will be held at 6:00 pm, Thursday, May 1, 2014 at New Life Family Worship.
