Everett E. Johnson

Everett E. Johnson, 99, of Port Charlotte, FL, formerly of Chicago, IL passed away October 13, 2016. He was the son of Gust and Freida Johnson, born September 11, 1917 in Manistique, MI. Everett was an inspector of naval materials during WII and a National Guard member. He worked as Department Head and Plant Manager for 35 years for Chicago Tube and Iron. Everett was active member of First Baptist Church as Deacon, Adult Sunday School Teacher and served on the Awana Youth Association board. He was former President of Self Help for Hard of Hearing (SHHH) for 8 years. Everett will be greatly missed by his wife of 18 years, Jean Ann; 4 daughters; 2 sons and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 daughter; 3 sons; 1 sister and 2 wives. A memorial service to celebrate Everett's life will be held at 11am, Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at First Baptist Church, Port Charlotte. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
