Ellen L. Molhoek

Ellen Louise (Herr) Molhoek passed away in Punta Gorda, Florida on December 8, 2021. She was born October 20, 1943, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. A former resident of Middlesex Township, PA and current resident of Boalsburg, PA.

Ellen graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and later received a Master’s in Education from the University of Pittsburgh. She had a lifelong love of art: as a student, as a teacher in the Fox Chapel Area School District, and as a grandmother passing that passion onto her granddaughter. Her many artistic interests included but were not limited to music, painting, fabrics, beading, and jewelry making.

Ellen was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Linda (Gillard) Herr, and her nephew Jeff Harvey. She is survived by her husband of 46 years Joseph J. Molhoek, sons Douglas (Annie), Wernersville, PA and Braden Molhoek, Berkeley, CA. Also, a granddaughter, Grace Ellen Molhoek, her sister Linda Harvey (Glenn) and a niece, Lisa Loseke (Kyle).
