Edna B Mccord

Edna B. McCord, 86, of Port Charlotte passed away August 31, 2015. She was the daughter of Percy and Edna (Siebert) Betz, born March 10, 1929 in St. Clair Shores, MI. Edna came to this area in 1961 from St. Clair Shores. She worked in banking at First National Bank, starting as a teller then as a loan officer, and in the billing department for Fawcett Memorial Hospital. Edna was a lucky person and won often, even winning Fantasy 5 twice. She enjoyed watching the Dolphins, Yankees, and Tiger Woods play golf. Edna will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose greatest joy was her family. Edna will be greatly missed by her daughters, Jamie Lynn (Ace) Edwards, Joni Sue (Mike) Gerace, and Beth Anne (Bob) Sawyer; grandchildren, Doni (Ariel), Mikey (Jenny), Dani (Brad), Deni (Domino), and BobbiSue (Bill); great-grandchildren, Cessna, Jordan, Kaine, Michael, Aiden, Ceth, and Lilli; sister, Marge Schaeffer; best friends, Maureen C. and Edna K. and many other family members out of state. A gathering will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Joni and Mike's. Memorial donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice (www.tidewell.org).
