Edith Schuftan

Edith Schuftan, 94, of Port Charlotte passed away January 28, 2007. She was born July 21, 1912 in Germany to Fritz and Alma (Berdass) Hauschner. Edith moved to Port Charlotte in 2002. Before that she lived in varies places which included Honduras, Cleveland, Ohio and West Palm Beach where she lived since 1972. Edith was a retired X-Ray Technician and attended Temple Beth Shalom. Edith enjoyed the knit and chat group at South Port Square and playing Rummy Q. She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Ruth (Dennis) Lazar of Port Charlotte. Edith was preceded in death by her husband Martin 1988. A Graveside service will be at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens in West Palm Beach, FL.
