Eddie N. Cloutier

Eddie N. Cloutier, 81, of Punta Gorda passed away December 29, 2008. He was born May 23, 1927 in Taffville, CT to Henry and Laura (Therrion) Cloutier. Eddie was a retired Chief for the US Coast Guard and served during Vietnam. He enjoyed an active life and was in a card club, pool league and was an avid golfer. Eddie was very talented with his hands and used those skills in building a boat by himself; he also did several remodeling jobs. Handy around the house, he was known as a good cook, enjoyed cleaning, and could iron a ruffle better than any one around! Eddie will be remembered for his wonderful smile. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 55 years, Lillian; daughters, Elaine Creager, Gail Walsh and Lynn Cabral; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Eddie was preceded in death by his brother, Leo Cloutier and sister Rolande Poirier. A funeral mass will be at 1:30 pm, Friday, January 2, 2009 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Brian Finerty officiating.
