Doris Anna Pollitt

Doris Anna (Sisk) Pollitt, 88, passed away April 12, 2009 in Punta Gorda, Florida. Mrs. Pollitt was the daughter of the late Roy Carlton Sisk and the late Anna Elizabeth corbett of Wilmington, Delaware. Mrs. Pollitt was born on February 21, 1921 in Wilmington; she graduated from Wilmington High School in 1939. She retired from Hercules, Inc as a secretary in the 1970's. Mrs. Pollitt was married to the late Alton F. Pollitt on April 24, 1948; Mr. Pollitt passed away in 1982. Mrs. Pollitt lived in Wilmington until 1986 when she moved to Prince George County, Virginia to live with her son, Roy, where she especially enjoyed gardening and landscaping on their five-acre property. They moved again to Millsboro, Deleware in 1994, to Fenwick Island, Deleware in 1995, and finally to Punta Gorda, Florida in 1998. Mrs. Pollitt is survived by her son, Roy C. Pollitt; brother, Frank J. Sisk and sister-in-law, Carolyn Sisk; along with numerous cousins in the Wilmington area. To express condolences to the family, please sign the online guest book.
