Donald C. Wiese

Donald C. Wiese, 80, of Port Charlotte passed away January 5, 2008. He was born on May 31, 1927 in Fostoria, Ohio to Herman and Annie (Schneckloth) Wiese. Donald served in the US Navy during WWII and was a retired builder. He moved from Orland Park, Illinois in 1972 to Port Charlotte. Donald was a member of the American Legion Post #110, Elks #2606 and a former member of Charlotte Harbor Yacht Club and Punta Gorda Country Club. He was a member of Fernwood Methodist Church in Chicago and enjoyed playing golf. Donald will be greatly missed by his wife of 18 years, Karen; daughters, Cindy (Lee) Pauls of Richmond, VA and Judy (Chuck) Asbury of Mechanicsville, VA; sons, Dan (Bonnie) Wiese of Minooka, IL and Jim (Cindy) Wiese of Harbor Heights, FL; brothers, Jerry Wiese of Lexington, IL, Bud Wiese of Oceanside, CA and Hal Wiese of Littleton, CO; sister, Marge Walaszek of Marysville, WA; stepdaughters, Rebecca (Andy) Brockett and Sarah Kapetanovic of Port Charlotte; twelve grandchildren. A memorial service will be at 3:00pm, Sunday, January 13, 2008 at Port Charlotte United Methodist Church.
