Deborah A. Brown

Deborah Anne Walters was born on October 30th, 1952, in Detroit, Michigan. She met and married the love of her life, Steve Brown, December 2nd, 1978. Together they raised (3) girls – Kate, Jessica & Jennifer, who grew up in Coldwater, Michigan.

Debbie was in administrative support for the State of Michigan in the department of Human Services for 39 years, she retired in 2012. Debbie & Steve moved to Punta Gorda, FL and began their life of snowbirds, spending their winters in Florida and their summers at Rose Lake in Coldwater, MI. Debbie’s favorite things included spending time with her best friend, her husband, Steve. She had a love for swimming pools, anything flamingos, beaches and reading.

Debbie gained her wings and peacefully passed away on Sunday, September 25th, 2022, at her Punta Gorda, FL home with her husband, daughters, sister & brother by her side.

Debbie is survived by her husband of 44 years, Steve Brown, of Punta Gorda, FL. Daughters - Jessica (and son-in-law) Scott Williams of Lenoir City, TN & Jennifer Brown (and grand-daughter) Bella of Oak Ridge, TN. Brother- Ralph Walters of Warren, Michigan. Sister - Nancy Kossajda of Rochester, Michigan. Grandchildren - Austin, Madison & Hunter. Mother-in-law – Vina Brown of Hillsdale, Michigan.

Debbie is preceded in death by her parents, Kathryn & Lawrence Walters. Her sister, Sharon Lamore. Her father-in-law, Marvin “Herb” Brown. Her mother-in-law & father-in-law – Verna & Ken Todd. And her daughter, Kate.

The family will be having a memorial service at Debbie’s favorite beach, at a later date.
