David S. Gentile

David S. Gentile, 84, of Port Charlotte passed away November 20, 2007. He was born August 9, 1923 in Worcester, MA to Frank and Concetta (Araby) Gentile. David served in the US Navy during WWII. He retired from the trucking business and moved to Port Charlotte from Shrewsbury, MA in 1980. David was a member of the American Legion Post #110 and a Life Member of American Federation of Musicians. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and was an accordion player for 70 years. David will be greatly missed by his wife of 62 years, A. Rita; daughter, Ann Marie (James) Smith of Port Charlotte; son, David F. Gentile of Port Charlotte; six grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
