David Griffiths

David Griffiths, 67, of Port Charlotte passed away June 13, 2010. He was the son of David and Helen (Dougherty) Griffiths, born July 5, 1942 in Philadelphia, PA. David served in the US Navy for 20 years and then was a mechanical engineer. As a Life Member of American Legion Post 336 in N Ft Myers, he served as a Commander for 4 years and District 13 Commander and southwestern area commander. He was a member of VFW 101127 of N Ft Myers and Florida Chief Betty Officers Association in Port Charlotte. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 14 years, Judith; daughters, Tina Ann, Suzanne of OR, Judith (Patrick) Daughty and Sandra (Dennis) Knapp all of NE; son, David (Tracy) Griffiths of CA; brother Donald (Gloria) Griffiths of PA; sister, Jean Griffiths Wright of NJ and nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. David was preceded in death by his sister, Carol McGree. A celebration of David's life will be at 12:00pm, Sunday, June 20, 2010 at American Legion Post 336, 5770 Batshore Rd. N. Ft Myers.
