Danyeal B. Cornett

Danyeal B. "Dan" Cornett, 91, went to be with the Lord Jesus on Friday, December 23, 2016. He was born March 4, 1925 in Whitesburg, KY to Wesley and Rebecca Cornett. Dan served in the US Army with the 349th Infantry during WWII in Italy. He worked in Pretzel factory and D'Amico Macaroni Co as Factory Manager in Chicago. Dan also owned of a Real Estate Office in Miami Beach before moving to Punta Gorda. He was a member of Punta Gorda Alliance Church, Punta Gorda. Dan will be greatly missed by his wife, Doris; daughter, Brenda Perry; step-son, Timothy Smith; step-daughter, Anita (Mike) Stroh; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and cousins. He was preceded in death by his step-daughter, Pat Parker. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 pm, Friday, December 30, 2016 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services. A graveside service will be held at 2pm, Friday, December 30, 2016 at Indian Springs Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Punta Gorda Alliance Church or Tidewell Hospice, Inc.
