Daniel L. Mckinney, Jr

Daniel L. McKinney, Jr., 77, of Punta Gorda passed away January 18, 2009. He was born September 12, 1931 in Everett, MA to Hester (Hunnewell) and Daniel McKinney, Sr. Daniel was an engineer for Unitrode before retiring; he moved from Holleston, MA to Punta Gorda in 1991. He enjoyed many outdoor activities including, sailing, snow skiing and traveling. Daniel will be greatly missed by his wife of 35 years, Marion; daughters, Patricia McKinney of Miami, FL, Elizabeth Poole of Hamilton, MA and Christine Warren of Ipswich, MA; sons, Daniel L. McKinney III of Seabrook, NH and Douglas McKinney of Seattle, WA; brother, Arthur McKinney of Inverness, FL; sister, Phyllis Garner of Pensacola, FL and twelve grandchildren. The family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00pm, Friday, January 23, 2009 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services. A celebration of Daniel's life will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, January 24, 2009 with Rev. Bob Carlson officiating at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services.
