Catherine M. Ellison

Catherine M. Ellison, 88, of Punta Gorda, and formerly of Long Island, NY, passed away Thursday, September 30, 2010. She was the daughter of Charles and Frances (Chapman) Hugues, born February 26, 1922 in Brooklyn, NY. Catherine loved flowers and going to parties, and was known as the “Party Lady.” Her two favorite times of the year were Easter and Christmas. She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Madeline (Richard) Fey, Alexandria (Warren) Wright of Bohemia, NY and Lois (Robert) Donovan of Mooresville, NC; son, Julius (Linda) Ellison, Jr of Seaford, NY; brothers, Charles Hugues, Howard Hugues and Arlie Hugues; sister, Ginny Hall; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Julius; daughter, Bertha Treola; brothers, Tally and Artie; and sisters, Carolyn and Leona. The family will receive friends 5:00 to 6:00 pm, Saturday, October 2, 2010 with a celebration of Catherine’s life to follow at 6:00 pm at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services.
