Carlos Eduardo Gonzalez

Carlos Eduardo Gonzalez, 71, of Port Charlotte passed away November 19, 2007. He was born August 6, 1936 in Peru to Victor and Ana (Negrini) Gonzalez-Tafur. Carlos served in the US Army from 1960 to 1963. He immigrated from Peru in 1957 and became a US Citizen in 1962. Carlos married Gail Smith in 1967 and graduated from Newark College of Engineering in 1971. He retired in August of 2001 from L.S.I. Logic as an Architectural Project Manager and moved from Morgan Hill, CA to Port Charlotte in April 2003. Carlos was a Scout Pack Leader of pack 700 in Morgan Hill, CA and was a member of San Antonio Catholic Church. After retirement he was the captain of his motorhome and traveled throughout the US and Canada until his death. Carlos will be greatly missed by his wife of 40 years, Gail D. Gonzalez; daughter, Teresa Maria Gonzalez; sons Carlos E. Gonzalez, II and Daniel Alberto Gonzalez; brothers, Victor, Luis and Daniel Gonzalez; sister, Ana Matilde Gonzalez de Ruiz; granddaughter, Olivia Shea Gonzalez. Memorial service will be 10:00a.m, Friday, December 28, 2007 at San Antonio Catholic Church.
