Betty Jo "Nana" Heleva

Betty Jo “Nana” Heleva, 75, of Port Charlotte died Sunday, July 4, 2010 with her family by her side. She was the daughter of Ivor and Clara (Keenum) Hill, born August 23, 1934 in Mississippi. She moved to Port Charlotte with her family in 1972. She worked most of her life as a cook, and enjoyed making jewelry upon her retirement. Nana was a selfless, trusting, and loving person who touched so many lives. Nana will be deeply missed by her loving children, Beth (Robert) Hunter and Leonard Heleva, Jr.; son-in-law, Ralph Pierce; grandchildren, Tiffany and Kelly Hunter and Krista Pierce Mayes; and great-grandchildren, Brandon Williams, Kendall, Kaleigh, and Keegan Bates. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Heleva, Sr. and daughter, Donna Pierce. To express condolences to the family, please sign the online guest book.
