Ben T. Kovalcik

Ben T. Kovalcik, 63, of Port Charlotte passed away February 11, 2010. He was the son of Thomas and Ann (Grencik) Kovalcik, born September 17, 1946 in Joliet, Illinois. Ben was the National Sales Manager for UtilX Corp. Telecommunications Division before retiring. An aviation enthusiast, he was a member of EAA, AOPA, and was a volunteer pilot for the Young Eagles; Ben also enjoyed playing golf. He came to this area from Rock Falls, IL in 1988 Ben will be greatly missed by his wife of 40 years, Karen; daughters Kristin (John) Freeman of Tampa, FL and Michelle Siemer of Orlando, FL; sons Brian (Andrea) Kovalcik of Atlanta, GA and Michael Kovalcik of Orlando, FL; grandchildren, Trey, Taylor, Kyler and Sydney. A memorial mass will be at 11:00 Monday, February 15, 2010 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
