Barbara J. Edgerton

Barbara J. Edgerton, 75, of Punta Gorda, Florida, passed away on May 7, 2016. She was born February 28, 1941, in Hartford, Connecticut, and graduated from Hartford Public High School. Barbara relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada, where she graduated with a Bachelor's degree from UNLV alongside her eldest son, Steve Jacobucci. She later moved to San Diego, California, and then to Punta Gorda, Florida, in 2003. She spent the majority of her career as a Realtor and independent business woman. Barbara was a survivor who persevered through numerous serious health issues. She loved God, her family, friends, and learning. She lived life to the fullest and knew each day was a blessing. She was an active member of the Peace River Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and participated in the ladies' prayer group. Barbara will be greatly missed by her husband, Gordon Edgerton; sister, Joan Coppinger; children, Steve Jacobucci, Laura Snelson, Scott Jacobucci, Dawna Stites and Eric Sveum; and ten grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2016, at 11am at the Peace River Baptist Church in Punta Gorda.
